17th World Economy Meeting

World Economy Society is a scientific association founded at the First World Economy Meeting, held at the University of Huelva in 1999. Over the next fifteen years the society went from strength to strength, internationalizing rapidly, with members around the world. Today, members include academics, researchers, entrepreneurs, consultants and international officials.

World Economy Society publishes the scientific journal Revista de Economía Mundial (Journal of World Economy) since 1999, supported by the University of Huelva Publications Service. Revista de Economía Mundial has achieved impressive international prestige and is indexed in the most important international databases, including Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI-Journal Citation Report), Scopus, EBSCO Publishing, DOAJ, EconLit, Latindex, Ulrich’s, CINDOC, Dialnet, Redalyc and Repec.

The World Economy Meeting, organized annually by the World Economy Society, is an international forum where research on the world economy, from diverse economic perspectives, is presented and discussed. It is also an important networking occasion for researchers, academics, students and other professionals with an interest in global economy analysis.

The 17th World Economy Meeting, will be held at the University of Oviedo from the 3th to 5th of June at Gijón. In addition to the presentation of papers on different aspects of the world economy, under the title: “Winners and Losers within a World Economy”
